Who we are
Hi! We’re Daniela & Sébastien, the creators of Branching Families.
I (Daniela) was born in Mexico, and at 18 years old, I moved to Europe to study and start a new chapter in life. A few years later, I met Sébastien in France, and together, we built our family. Now, with our three amazing children, we’ve recently moved to Spain.
Being far from our loved ones, we wanted our kids to stay connected to their roots and family history. But we realized that photos often get buried in digital storage, family faces are unknown to them and traditional family trees are too static and very limited. That’s why Sébastien had the idea to create Branching Families—a modular family tree that grows as life evolves.
With his background as an IT architect and software developer, and a lot of imagination, Sébastien designed both the digital platform and the modular wooden tree system. And with my experience in business development and product innovation, I took charge of bringingBranching Families to life—filing the patent, creating & registering the brand, and leading our journey as entrepreneurs.
For us, this isn’t just a product—it’s a way to keep family memories alive, no matter where life takes us.
